New eBooks on NC LIVE...

...available via Greenwood Digital Collection (GDC)
This collection is a new resource from Greenwood that takes their existing content and formats it back into the original book form it was published in. What this means is that all of

This change affects:
** American Slavery: A Composite Autobiography
** Daily Life Through History
** Historic Events of the 20th Century
** Critical Companions to Popular Contemporary Writers
** Literature in Context

Check out these books at the following link -- http://www.nclive.org/

PBS videos now available on NC LIVE

There’s no need to wait for reruns of your favorite PBS videos any longer. They are now conveniently available at the library or in the comfort of your own home anytime you choose.

Students, teachers, and/or library patrons at the Wake Tech Libraries now have free access to quality PBS educational and entertainment programming over the Internet. Because the Wake Tech Libraries are a member of NC LIVE, North Carolina's statewide library consortium, they are now able to provide access to nearly 250 quality PBS programs covering a wide variety of topics.

Remember Ken Burns’ Baseball and The Civil War? How about the Emmy award-winning series American Experience and Frontline? They are part of the larger collection of videos that are currently available at no charge to Wake Tech students who request the NC LIVE password.

A second group of videos will be available later in January 2008 that will include children’s programming from the highly acclaimed “Cyberchase” and “Liberty Kids” series.
